Marcy Thornhill has always been driven to teach and inspire others to pursue their goals. guides and mentors both youth and adults, helping them discover their gifts, talents, and, most importantly, their passions. Marcy firmly believes in leading by example, encouraging others not only to “do as I say” but also to “do as I do.” For her leadership goes beyond giving directions; it’s about demonstrating the right way to achieve success.
Mrs. Thornhill has spent the past 15 years creating programs that benefit both adults and youth, including career, college preparation, mentorship, and small business startups. She has a deep understanding of the needs of a multi-generational workforce. Her initiatives also focus on individuals and families, offering middle school workshops, career readiness adults, and recently, social media safety and teen dating. Driven by a desire to provide youth and families with opportunities that she once lacked, Mrs. Thornhill has been recognized with several awards, including the 2017 Metropolitan Business League Non-Profit Partner of the Year and the 2015 Distinguished Community Service Award. Education: Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Master’s Degree in Education, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University.
